Wanderlust?
It was the first elite I ever got and it served me well for most of factions. If you like to heal, then Spirit Light Weapon is the way to go.
Here's another great spell that's overlooked: Soul Twisting. It makes casting the slower rituals much less of a pain.

I didn't put Wanderlust on there for the very reason it doesn't last very long. It definitely serves a purpose with it's KD but the whole me not being able to control the targets with it makes it useless for me (In a mob).
I personally like Spirit Light Weapon for it's healing, but instead I normally bring Weapon of Quickening, figuring if I drop that on a monk he can heal faster party wide than just me dropping SLW just on him or any other individual. (Still a great elite, don't get me wrong). However, drop recovery down and cast SLW. It makes a very nice combo I've come to find.
And Soul Twisting is very handy if there's a particular spirit you want to get up quicker, definitely right about that.

My ritualist is my second to oldest character....This class is a personal favorite of mine, i just think that the very idea behind this profession was awesome ( but some better skills could be implemented on all professions)
This is a rit staple....caretaker's charge -good game!
most useful rit elite for most anything...i had same dilemma but just pvp for 3k faction and unlock it then buy a leet tome.
Or use it as an incentive to get yourself through the campaigns...this is what i did.

CtC...? I wouldn't call that a consistent elite... At least not anymore =) I think you'd be better off with an AP or OoS build nowadays... =P

I think OoS is quite useful and I was about to recommend it but it turns out to be in the Domain of Secrets! I guess that's a bit far to go just now ^_~
The early elites that might be ok would be Spirit Channeling (works best with a +20% enchant mod), Expel Hexes or Martyr. Heck, Ray of Judgement is available early if you want to spec for it. Expel and Martyr have the advantage of being unlinked, so you don't need any points for them.
Another decent unlinked elite you can get in Factions a bit later on is Empathic Removal.
Assassin's Promise is ok I guess... I don't think it's something to use early on though, I suppose it just depends if it fits your style or not y'know?

I just finally got my Rit off the island at level 15, which is the highest level I've had a character at leaving there. My Assassin was level 13, and I was recently taking my Ranger (from Prophecies) around Kaineng at as low a level as 8. Being careful with aggro makes it extremely easy to do so without dying.
*shrugs*
Anyway, on topic, I'm sort of in the same situation, trying to come up with a decent build for my Rit and wondering what elites are any good. Most, from looking at them on the wiki, seem to not be too much better than regular skills; maybe Weapon of Quickening or Destructive Was Glaive. I'm probably going to go over to Nightfall this weekend specifically to get the latter.
